The Pilot plant is equipped with yarn manufacturing facilities for spinning worsted yarn, friction-spun and yarn, blends of wool with other natural and synthetic fibers. The facilities available with the pilot plant, including machinery of the Centre of Excellence- Sportech is as mentioned below:

The friction-spun yarn manufacturing constitutes a full-fledged six spindle friction spinning machine to spin homogeneous yarn from textile wastes and special technical fibers and engineered yarn for specifically technical textiles.

Carpet manufacturing facility

Apart from the above, the pilot plant is also equipped with a carpet manufacturing facility. Hand-knotted carpet can be produced.
